About
Anthony Borelli is the owner of REPD Consulting, LLC – a strategic consultancy specializing in land use planning and pre-development.
Prior to starting this business, Anthony served as Senior Vice President at Edison Properties where he led strategic planning and entitlement efforts for high visibility development sites in New York City; Newark and Secaucus, New Jersey; and Baltimore, Maryland.
Previously, he served as director of the Manhattan Borough President’s planning office. Under Anthony’s direction, the office developed positions on hundreds of land use proposals, prepared policy reports, and provided technical assistance to community boards.
While at the Borough President’s Office, Anthony created and administered the Community Planning Fellows Program, which now operates under the auspices of the Fund for the City of New York. Since 2009, the program continues to place graduate students in urban planning with community boards throughout New York City.
Before working at the Borough President’s Office, Mr. Borelli was District Manager of Manhattan Community Board 4, which under the City Charter represents the west side neighborhoods of Chelsea, Hell’s Kitchen and Hudson Yards on matters of land use, municipal service delivery and budget needs.
Anthony is currently an Adjunct Associate Professor of Urban Planning at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation where he teaches urban planning studio, a required course for all Master of Science in Urban Planning candidates.
Anthony serves on the boards of the Regional Plan Association, Citizens Housing and Planning Council, Newark Regional Business Partnership, Downtown Brooklyn Partnership, Hudson River Park Friends and Fundraising Accountability Workshop. He is also a member of the Planning Committee of the Meadowlands Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Zoning and Government Affairs committees of the Real Estate Board of New York.
